Skipchaser SKIPCHASER is a story driven sci-fi fantasy shooter with weapon customization, procedural levels and fast paced gunfights. Battle and loot your wa.
Skipchaser is an odd game with a fairly unique art-style. The art-style isn’t incredibly high end or anything like that, what can you expect from an indie game? They do, however, add to the atmosphere of the game. Hugely benefitting some of the other systems, most notable of which, the weapon upgrade system.
The game doesn’t really seem to offer much guidance, no one to hold your hand as you bounce around a little village performing quests before getting beamed back up to your ship to customise your weapons. That… well… I mean, that is all you really do.There is a storyline, not a very interesting one, but it isn’t the main focus of the game. Truthfully, I am not entirely sure what is! Hopefully, it is user enjoyment, as I most certainly enjoyed my time with this title.
A casual top-down shooter which allows you to build your own weapons from scratch; whilst there are more than a few parts that offer different upgrades there seems to be a very limited variation in what exactly you can do with your weapon design. Whilst you can make a few base guns such as the submachine gun and the rifle, there seems to be little else. You can pick between a variety of different variations of gear such as a different receiver or magazines that add their own bonus and drawbacks.

Perhaps you want something that shoots quickly and a lot of bullets? Or something that fires slowly and has a large ammo count? The choices are plenty, but honestly, after a while it feels like you are directly upgrading your weapons. Rather than building something you like and something that suits your playstyle. You quickly begin to replace parts with their superior counterparts.
Gameplay is nice and simple, use your mouse to aim, WASD to move and shoot the various creatures that are attempting to kill you. There is little in terms of enemy variation, robots that explode and people that shoot guns, along with the occasional animal is all I seem to really encounter.
SKIPCHASER(Reviewed on Windows)
This game is good, with a few negatives.
Overall, it is another solid indie game that is great for someone that is just looking for something to play something to play or to maybe burn away a little stress or a few hours. Customisable weapons, easy to play and honestly? Rather fun! Skipchaser!
